Brothers & Sisters,
Over the years, many of you have expressed how much you miss the Local 40 picnics, and we’ve heard you! We are excited to announce that we are bringing back the picnic tradition this year. In partnership with the Motion Picture Industry & Television Fund, IATSE, and several other motion picture unions, including those in the basic crafts, we are organizing an industry-wide event that promises to be a fantastic day for you and your family.
We invite you and your families to the MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) Day at the Ranch Picnic, on Sunday, November 10th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Calamigos Ranch.
This special event will not only be a great opportunity to relax and enjoy a day with our entertainment family, but it will also support a meaningful cause. The MPTF provides vital assistance to our industry workers in times of need, offering financial aid, subsidized childcare, and care for aging loved ones.
The picnic will include lunch, outdoor activities, an auction and raffle, and plenty of fun for the entire family! It’s a day to celebrate the strength and solidarity of the Motion Picture Industry’s union members and families.
The Local has partnered with LA NECA to provide free tickets to members in good standing. We look forward to celebrating with you at this wonderful event. Bring your family, and let’s make this day a memorable one!

401k BBQ & General Membership Meeting
We also want to remind you that next week, we will be grilling up burgers and dogs before the general membership meeting and hosting a 401k educational meeting to discuss the changes in the 401k plan and discuss the addition to your Motion Picture collective bargaining agreement.
